Kathmandu, Dec 12: The National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority (NDRRMA) has urged the three layers of government for required coordination and facilitation for preparedness, response and recovery works to avoid the fire-related disasters in the dry season.
Issuing a notice today, the NDRRMA has urged the UN agencies, NGOs, development partners, privates sectors, civil society and media to make efforts from their sides in this regard.
The Spokesperson of Authority, Shanti Mahat, has urged all to contribute to the security of citizens by performing special role for making the society alert.
The Authority also stated that eight people succumbed to the fire related accidents in the past one month across the country. Likewise, 55 people were hurt during the period.
The Authority has cautioned one and all stating that the cases of fire have increased in the dry season.
